Boarding at UWA

Facilities

A Campus Built for Living and Learning

UWA Boarding is set within the wider campus environment, giving residential students full access to the school's facilities whilst benefiting from the security and community of boarding life.

Boarders attend supervised study sessions in fully equipped school classrooms, ensuring their evening academic work takes place in a focused, distraction-free environment. Junior and senior boarders study in separate classrooms under the supervision of resident teachers, who are available to provide guidance and support throughout each session.

A structured laundry service runs twice weekly. Students are provided with a laundry bag and complete a detailed garment list before submission. Clothing is returned on a clear turnaround schedule, ensuring that personal belongings are always accounted for and well-maintained. It is a straightforward arrangement that teaches students to take responsibility for their belongings without placing an undue burden upon them.

The campus field, multi-sport courts, and swimming pool are all available to boarders as part of the daily and weekend programme, overseen by qualified coaches. These facilities are used throughout the week for structured sports sessions, recreational activities, and physical exercise, forming an integral part of the boarding routine.

The campus operates under comprehensive CCTV monitoring, and the boarding house is supervised at all times. All entry is managed through the school’s security team, with access granted only upon clearance from house staff. All visitors are required to follow the school’s visitor procedures, with access permitted only after identity and authorisation have been verified by the boarding and security teams.
